Ritwik Ghatak: Face to Face: Conversations with the Master 1962-1977

Ritwik was a filmmaker. This statement says almost nothing about Ritwik. He was an artist, a thinker. Even these adjectives only define him in a limited way. Known for his irregular habits and strong words Ritwik was an unique person. His ideas about art in general, film in particular, politics and art movements would be of special interest to art lovers. Hence we present a collection of all his interviews. These interviews were taken between 1962 and 1977. Most of the interviews are translated from Bengali, by Chilka Ghosh. The interviews have been collected and edited by Sibaditya Dasgupta and Sandipan Bhattacharya.
