India is fast emerging as a global power in diverse fields. But the fact remains that development, confined to a privileged class can never be billed as development as such. The reason is crystal clearignorance of the underprivileged. Rural development and rural reconstruction is a wise step on the part of the Government of India. Substantial increase in the budgetary allocation for rural reconstruction proves that a sustainable development cannot be achieved unless and until rural areas are included. This work, Rural Reconstruction tries to preserve all the valuable information available in this regard.
