Sardar Vallabhabhai Patel and National Integration

Sardar Vallabhai Patel was a great genius and successfully accomplished the great task of unifying India, which had been a dream since ages and seemed impossible even after the attainment of independence. Sardar Patel made possible the unification of India on geographical, political and economic grounds. A major part of existing literature is mainly descriptive and biographical. Most of the writers have tended not to focus as much on his political ideas as upon his role as a political activist. That is understandable. There is need to relate his ideas and attempt to view them in a certain perspective. The present work is an attempt to focus mainly on his political ideas about secularism, nationalism and national integration etc. This unique work would be a source of inspiration for the people of India.
