ABOUT THE AUTHOR Vinay Nath Jha

Dr. Vinay Nath Jha, Son of Late Professor Mahinath Jha, born on 25th of August, 1959, passed B.A., Hons., (Geography), M.A. (Geography) and Ph.D. from the L.N. Mithila University, Darbhanga, Dr. Jha is serving as senior teacher of Geography at M.L.S.M. Colelge, Darbhanga since 29th July, 1982. During his doctoral research period he also taught P.G. students at University Department of Geography, L.N. Mithila University, Darbhanga from July, 1983 to July, 1986. He has keen interest in Urban and Regional Planning and Population Geography. He is actively engaged in research work and supervising a couple of research scholar for their Ph.D. work. He has published more than 10 research papers in the reputed geographical journals. He has actively participated and presented papers in as many as 25 seminars, symposia, National Conferences and Congresses. He is privileged to be life members of NAGI (New Delhi), APGI (Chandigarh), AGBJ (Patna) and Founder Member of MAG (Darbhanga), GAS (Gaya), The social profile (Patna), M.B.B.C. (Sidhi, MP). He has also published more than 12 geographical essays in Maithili Magazine "Mithila Mihir" and has given about 15 Radio Talks on Geogrpahical issues, broadcasted from Darbhanga, All India Radio Station. He has produced only one book is your hand till date.
