Snapshots of a Firefly is a broad collection of poems by Satheesan Rangorath, a lifetime memorabilia in soft vocabulary. The poet’s intuitive responses to diverse life situations in verses in simple and engaging language, is presented in this compendium of poems. Vibrant hues of sensitivity, sensibility, spirituality, simple philosophy, sensuality and the tinge of romance can be seen to reflect in the warp and woof of the tapestry used as the common backdrop. The poems are divided into three sections to broadly represent three areas of his existence: (1) Sanctuary of Love, (2) Window to Infinity and (3) Alone in the Crowd. As the name suggests, first one is dedicated to his Guru, Mata Amritanandamayi Devi [Amma] his spiritual solace. The second part is a philosophical treatment of subjects that tend to open the window from the unreal to the real. The third part is a kaleidoscope of events, personalities and threads that are part and parcel of our day to day existence.
