The present work is the study of social change in socio-cultural life pattern, which took place in the region of Uzbekistan in the period of Soviet Union and after the formation of independent Uzbekistan. The different variables which have been studied include economic system, religion, education system and society during period and how these systems changed. It also studies the changes which have taken place and are expected to take place in the contemporary Uzbekistan. The study has been made on the basis of different hypothesis: Communism created cultural ambivalence in the region; this led to conflict in the Soviet society. Islam has played leading role in the disintegration of the USSR. There is no expectation of an Islamic set up in the near future in the region. It has been found out that sensate cultural values of socio-cultural life pattern were dominating the society there. There is exception of domination of ideational values in the future social set up there.
