ABOUT THE AUTHOR Lt. Col. Gautam Sharma

Lt. Col. Gautam Sharma(Retd., an eminent author, had been a fellow of the Indian Council of Historical Research, radio and TV commentator on defence and international relations. He has written hundreds of articles and reviews in newspapers and magazines on these subjects. He has been on the Board of Studies of a number of universities on military science and military studies and examiner in military subjects up to Ph.D. level. He joined the Indian Army in 1942 during World War II and after retirement was with the Paramilitary forces for a period of two years.
