ABOUT THE AUTHOR Satpal Singh

Satpal Singh has been working in the National Institute of Urban Affairs, New Delhi for over 17 years. During this period, he has been associated with a number of research studies in the areas of Municipal finance and Services, Urban Environment with specific reference to Solid Waste Management, Urbanisation and urban Policies. He has Ph.D. in Sociology from Punjab University, Chandigarh; Master Degree in Economics from Rajasthan University, Jaipur; and Master Degree in Sociology from Annamalai University, Annamalainagar, Tamil Nadu. He has published a number of research papers in leading journals and has participated in many international and national seminars and workshops.
