ABOUT THE AUTHOR Maitreya Rudrabhayananda

Maitreya Rudrabhayananda, fondly addressed as Maitreya is a popular writer and speaker on philosophical and spiritual subjects. His teachings defy categorization, and cover everything from an individual's quest for meaning'to the most urgent social and political issues impacting individuals and society today. Running like a thread through all aspects of Maitreya's work is a vision that encompasses both the timeless wisdom of the East and the highest potential of Western science and technology. A word of explanation is necessary with regard to the book now being offered to the esteemed seekers of truth. The book, which is in your hands, is one of the first books I had written way back in 1996-97. The original manuscript in reality was nine books covering topics of varied nature, which included Meditation, Aura, Crystals, Mudra Vigyan, Marma Gyana, Pranayama, Asana, Kundalini Yoga, and Reiki among others. Nine books could not be printed but one book covering extracts of the nine books was to come out as "Soul Searchers. The Advent". Since a book by the same title was already there, the title of one of these nine books' original manuscript "Soul Searchers - The Art of Breathing" came out in the World Book Fair held in Delhi in the year 2000 under my birth name "R.Venugopalan". It was well received by all seekers of truth and in a span of 11 years; we had more than 12 editions and 2 translations in Spanish and Russian. Later all editions carried the name given to me by the Divine as "Shri Rudrabhayananda" or "Maitreya Rudrabhayananda. Though the book was well received, without proper introduction and depth, for me, the book remained quite unintelligible, for knowledge without proper direction and a basic understanding is futile. After a long gap of 12 years, I have gained this opportunity to bring to you the original manuscript of "Soul Searchers-The Art of Breathing" through Universal Centre for Spiritual Research and Development.
