State of Buddhism in Ceylon (Srilanka) As Depicted in the Pali Chronicles

The importance of Pali Chronicles for reconstruction of history of Buddhism in Ceylon (Sri Lanka) is immense. The Chronicles like the Dipavamsa, Mahavamsa, Culavamsa, Mahabodhivamsa, Thupavamsa etc. are productions of Ceylonese poets. These are historical poems based on some historical events of Buddhist Community.
