ABOUT THE AUTHOR Pravir Chakravarty

Pravir Chakravarty obtained a Master’s degree in Statistics from the university f Calcutta and studied for a doctorate in the same from university of Delhi. He taught n colleges in West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh for several years before joining as statistician and subsequently Senior Statistician in the research and planning division of the education and health research centres in the State.
