Studies in Syriac Spirituality

There are two goals for this volume, Studies in Syriac Spiritualit. (1) Picking up of the pear;ls in the powerful imageries, symbols, types, metaphors and thought patterns employed by the Syriac Christian literature that breathes the same air and nourishes itself from the some roots and cultural milieu of the biblical authors. Those discovered Syriac pearls of spiritual visions have universal applicability and adaptability. (2) Aiming at bringing out a true Asian face of Christianity through a variety of approaches in the Syriac spiritual vision. These approaches, rootes in the universal biblical vision of salvation, are quite meaninhful in the present globalzing world of plurality in approaches to religiosity and spiritua realization. Dr. Brock’s contributions to these endeavours are uniquely resourcesful on the one hand and on the other inspire many others, students, scholars and thinkers, to contribute to the same cause, especially, enlightened through his volume on Syriac Spirituality.
