ABOUT THE AUTHOR Rajesh Gupta

Dr. Rajesh Gupta is Professor and Head, Department of Civil Engineering, VNIT, Nagpur. He did his graduation from Govt. Engg. College, Jabalpur in 1987, and completed Master's and Doctorate from VNIT (then VRCE) in 1990 and 1996, respectively. He has authored a book on "Analysis of Water Distribution Networlks" published by Narosa Publication Co., New Delhi; and also by  Alpha Science Publications, UK. He has contributed over75 research papers, out of which 15 are at International Level. Six of his papers received best paper awards. He has guided about 50 students for their M.Tech. Dissertation Work and 8 Ph.D. students. He is a life member of several professsional bodies like IWWA, ISH, IE(I), IPHE, ISTE, ACCE etc. He is presently holding the post of Chairman of IWWA, Nagpur Centre. He recieved Brijnandan Sharma Young Engineer award from Indian Water Works Association in 2002-2003 and " Jal Seva Puruskar" for his contribution towards sustainability of water supply systems in the year 2008-09.
