Education is one of the important agencies of socialisation of children, adults and even old age people. Socialisation is a life-long process and without entering the formal and informal education system, it would be incomplete. Education transmits our cultural heritage and social values from one generation to another and also shape our future vision and perception of life. Teaching is a very responsible job, because it directly involves shaping the mind-set and thinking of the students, which in turn, affect family and society. Instinctive and attitudinal spirit of teaching, ultimately lead to the well being of both the students and the teachers. The teachers are expected to evoke the stream of consciousness in their discipline and also owe the responsibility of formation of ‘National Character’. Teachers are also expected to be analytical and of high calibre with reasoning ability.
