Balvinder Kaur is M.A. (Pol. Science and History) and B.Lib from Panjab University, Chandigarh. She has been on the faculty of S.N. College for Women, Amritsar and then served as Chief Librarian, guru Harkrishan Public School India Gat, New Delhi. Her desertation has been on 'U Thant: A Bio-Bibliography'. She has attended seminars and conferences and has speical interest in the study of social sciences.
