The present volume is a compilation of technology profiles having replication potential for women and rural development in northern India. It is an outcome of series of training programmers for transfer of grassroot technologies organized by Biotechnology Division of Punjab State Council for Science & Technology. Besides technologies covered in the training programmers, other technology protocols that could improve the quality of life in rural milieu were also invited from experts having practical knowledge and experience. The potential topic range is though enormous and this volume may not be exhaustive, however, efforts have been made to provide complete know-how of the protocols covered in it including the raw materials required, technological details, flow diagrams, cost economics, market potential, details and pictures of machinery wherever possible as well as the complete contact details for each technology.
