This Textbook of Aquariculture is a comprehensive guide and deals with the culture and breeding of freshwater ornamental fishes. The present status of ornamental fish farming and new technologies on the breeding and culture of ornamental fishes have also been aptly dealt with. ABOUT THE AUTHOR B Ahilan
Dr. B. Ahilan is working as Associate Professor in the Department of Aquaculture, Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi. He did his Ph.D. in the breeding and culture of goldfish (carassius auratus). He has completed a research project on culture and breeding of discus (Symphysodon discus) in captivity. He has published 30 research and 60 popular articles. Related to ornamental fish culture. He has organized and coordinated several training programmes in ornamental fish culture for the benefit of fish farmers, rural folks and entrepreneurs.

Dr. N. Felix is working as Associate Professor in the Department of Aquaculture, Fisheries College and research Institute, Thoothukudi. He has published. He has published 25 research articles and 50 popular articles in different aspects of aquaculture including fish nutrition.
