Problems for practice are given at the end of the topic. At the end of the chapter, objective questions with answers have been provided. The book has been prepared keeping in mind the syllabi of graduate and post-graduate courses of forestry, horticulture & agriculture of different universities.

S.K. Sheel is Post Graduate in Mathematics as well as in Statistics from HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar, Garhwal.He has more than three decades of experience in research and analysis of statical data emanating from experiments conducted by the scientists of different biological disciplines of Forest Research Institute, Dehradun. He has also approximately 20 years of teaching experience on Applied Mathematics,Statistical Techniques and Research Methodology to Post Graduate students and Ph.D Scholars of Deemed University - FRI, Dehradun. At present he is engaged in teaching bio-mathematics and bio-statistics in Dolphin (PG) Institute of Biomedical and Natural Sciences, Dehradun.
