ABOUT THE AUTHOR Charu Swami

Charu Swami, holds an undergraduate and postgraduate degree in clothing and textiles from the prestigious M.S. University, Vadodara. Subsequently, she was involved in teaching at the same department as a Lecturer in the specialized area of clothing and textiles. Her Masters research work on Green Fibres was published in the India Textile Journal. She has to her credit an internal circulation textbook of M.S.U., Vadodara, on the subject, Introduction to Clothing and Textiles. She has taught in visiting capacity on various subjects at different institutes of fashion design, polytechnics, and textile design centres. Presently, she is pursuing degrees of higher research (M.Phil. and Ph.D.) in the area of extraction and application of natural dyes from the newer sources.
