The volume documents the history of the birth, growth and development of the Catholic Church in Angami villages in Nagaland. Beginning with a glimpse into the Angami tribe, it takes up the entry of the Catholic Church in Nagaland. It discusses establishment of the many churches in northern, southern and western Angami region and in the Chakhro region. It details the way the early Catholic faith grew from strength to strength in the state, with the early Church members facing strong resistance and hardships but emerging successful in propagating heir faith. It provides an account of peoples’ efforts and sacrifices for the growth of the Catholic faith in the region. The text is supported by numerous illustrations on the landmarks of the Catholic faith in Nagaland, the people who contributed to the spread of the religion and activities of the Church.
