Sri Hastigiri Mahatmyam, one of the Desikaprabandhas, is a Rahasya literature to be taught and learnt from an able acarya, by an earnest disciple. ABOUT THE AUTHOR G.R. Srinivasan

The author born in the city of Madras, had his earlier education locally, graduated in Engineering from G.C.T. Coimbatore and post-graduated from College of Engineering, Guindy, He served as a Design-Engineer in Southern Railway. Being a Srivaisnava by birth and due to his deep interest, in the study of the Philosophy of Vaisnavism, he did his post-graduation and Ph. D. in Vaisnavism of University of Madras. The rich experience he had gained from the training he received under eminent scholars, inspired him to bring-out this book on Lord Varadaraja of Kanci, the author’s pet god.
