The Manuals of Buddhism

Ven. Ledi Sayadaw, Aggamaha Pandita was the eminent Buddhist scholar. He has written in Pali and in Burmese more than seventy manuals of Buddhism (Dipanis), being the lucid expositions of the Buddha Dhamma, and the true presentationso f the main tenets of Theravada Buddhism. In the present book eight of these Dipanis have been translated into English by various translators. The following Dipanis have been included in this volume, Vipassana Dipani (The Manual of Insight); Pattanuddesa Dipani; Niyama Dipani (Manual of Cosmic Order); Catusacca Dipani; Sammaditthi Dipani (Manual of the Right View); Bodhipakkiya Dipani (Manual of the factors leading to enlightenment); Magganga Dipani (Manual of the constituents of the Noble Path); Alin-Kyan.
