ABOUT THE AUTHOR Tusar Kanti De

Born in village Buadpur in Orissa, Tusar Kanti De is a keen observer of human beings, situations and events. From early childhood, he has been writing short stories, both in Oriya and English language which have been published in various magazines, periodicals and newspapers. His stories portray the various facets of human personality, the downtrodden and the complexities of day to day life. He is a Postgraduate in Political Science and M.Phil in Public Administration. Tusar joined the central Service in 1976 after qualifying inthe All India Civil Services Examination. During his long service spanning nearly three decades, he has held several important assignments in the Union Government. At present, he is Director (Administration) in Directorate General Quality Assurance, Ministry of Defence.
