This book makes a comparative study of the status of Santal women living in India and Bangladesh. It seeks to find out the differences, if any, in respect of education and health situation of the Santal women in India and Bangladesh, and their response to the available facilities.
It further analyses the level of participation in economic and political sphere and opportunities provided to the Santal women in the two countries. The impact of development programmes and policies on the Santal women initiated by the government and non-government organization has been examined as well.
