ABOUT THE AUTHOR R. Murali

Dr. R. Murali (b. 1957) is head, Department of Philosophy and center for philosophy and center for Philosophical research of the madura College (Autonomous), madurai, Tamil Nadu. He has presented papers in many national and international seminars and conferences. He has published more than 30 papers on various topics relating to philosophy, culture and politics. His Ph.D. is on ‘The Communicative Ethics of Habermas’. He has visited MIT and Boston College, United States. He has produced more than 30 Radio programmes for AIR, and scripted for 9 video films on the Basics of philosophy for Educational Media research, UGC. Also, he has produced an Instructive CD on Yoga Nidra. Dr. R. Murali has organized national conferences, seminars and workshops on various themes with the support of ICPR, UGC and other agencies. He has published a book on the works of the German philosopher, Jurgen Habermas. Presently, he is working on a major UGC project on the Communicative Ethics of mass Media in Tamil Nadu.
