The book is a reflection of the United State’s policy in the Persian Gulf and gives sums up of historical background about the presence of the United States and Britain in the region, and their policy. The book is also going through the history of the Gulf Superpowers, Iran and Iraq, and their relations and contact with the rest of the gulf states and the United States and the UK. Firstly, the US policy of dual containment was trying to isolate Iraq and Iran from the rest of the world politically and economically and militarily by claiming possessing of the weapons of mass destruction and threat the other gulf states (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, UAE, Oman and Kuwait). Secondly, I have tried to examine the extent of success of the policy of dual containment which United States has pursued in the Gulf regions since 1993.
