ABOUT THE AUTHOR Swami Parampanthi
Swami Parampanthi (born in Assam, India: (1928) is living presently in Los Angeles, touring frequently all over the world for delivering lectures on spiritual and philosophical subjects. Born in a deeply religious family, he had his religious and formal education under Swami Muktananda Paramhansa and later, under the guidance of Dr. Jogiraj Basu at Viraj Ashrama Institute. Swami Parampanthi has studied seven world religions, culture, literature, art, Western philosophy, Asian history and art. He has taught Eastern religions at the Vedanta Centre, Cohasset, Mass; and at The Ananda Ashrama in La Crescenta, California. He has also worked as the Cultural Director of International Centre of Religion and Culture, at International Corporation Councial and Astara Foundation. He has traveled extensively in 35 countries for delivering lectures and has many publications to his credit, the major ones being “The Cardinal Doctrines of Hinduismâ€, “Modern Leaders on Religionâ€, “Toward Enlightened Life†and “A Six-Week Course to Meditationâ€.
