ABOUT THE AUTHOR Kumar P. Krishna

Dr. Krishna Kumar Peddibhotla hails from Andhra Pradesh. His birth place is Kakinada, a coastal town on the eastern side of India. For the last three generations, starting from his grandfather, Dr. P. Subba Rayudu Garu, they are staunch followers of homoeopathy. Incidentally, like his grandfather, the author is also both an advocate and a homoeopath. He is a product of two universities-Andhra University and Maharashtra University. He had obtained his degree of law from the latter University and a Sanad from Bar Council then known as Bombay High Court. In addition he has a diploma in homoeopathy received in the year 1948. Practice at his grandfather's clinic known as "Maitreya Homoeo Poor Dispensary" was carried on by him for some years till he decided to migrate to Bombay in search of a career. Incidentally he had also conducted another charitable clinic established by Dayalbagh Mission. In 1967, answering to the call of Smt. Indira Gandhi, he had given up his law practice in Bombay and went to live in a small tehsil town, accepting a job as an administrator of the properties belonging to the Sri Dwarakadhish Mandir, which is part of the estate of H.H. the late Maharaja of Kankroli. He worked in this capacity for over seventeen years. There can be no doubt that for a person, who has not participated in actual practice of medicine, to maintain persistent enthusiasm in the subject for such a long period of four decades is a creditable performance. The author promises to contribute his best to the propagation of homoeopathy. He looks for encouragement from the homoeopathic fraternity in his efforts. He would be glad to receive any suggestions from the learned readers.
