The book consists of twelve chapters. Each chapter is having solved examples taken from university question papers. The mathematical treatments are fully derived and explained clearly. D'Alembert's principle has been used to derive differential equations of motion utilizing free-body diagrams of dynamic equilibrium. Chapter 12 deals with Lagrange's equations to derive differential equations of motion. This chapter is also having solved examples of single degree of freedom system and multi degree of freedom system. This book fulfils all the requirements of Indian Universities.
Contents:
1.Fundamentals of Vibrations 2.Free Vibrations of Single Degree of Freedom System 3.Damped Free Vibrations (Single Degree of Freedom Systems) 4.Harmonically Excited Vibrations 5.Rotor Unbalance 6.Two Degree of Freedom Systems 7.Co-ordinate Coupling 8.Multidegree of Freedom Systems 9.Vibrations of Continuous System 10.Transient Vibrations 11.Non-Linear Vibrations 12.Lagrange's Equations
