Theory of Political Sociology

This book entitled Theory of Political Sociology deals with conceptual schemes, theoretical constructs, and models concerning interactions between Society and Politics. It provides preliminary guidelines for enquiring into, and examining the impact of Society on Politics, and also the viceversa. Politics, as it is an integral part of Society, incessantly comes under societal influences, and simultaneously, it also influences the structural and cultural components of the Society. As such, for understanding and appreciating meaningfully the dynamics of the Polity and the Society, it is imperative to enquire into, and examine the interpenetration and reciprocal influences between them on employing relevant theoretical constructs and models. For this purpose, this book is designed accordingly, and it contains selected theoretical models on some major dimensions of ‘Society-Politics Interactions’ such as ‘Influence, Power, and Authority’, ‘Political Power-Structure’, ‘Political Culture’, ‘Political Socialization’, ‘Political Communication’, ‘Political Participation’, ‘Political Movement’, and ‘Political Modernization’. It is intended to be used by students, researchers, and analysts as an introductory theoretical guidebook in their quest for understanding the interactions between Society and Politics.
