ABOUT THE AUTHOR Mohammad Fahim

Dr. Mohammad Fahim is Professor of Physiology at Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, University of Delhi, Delhi. He has been engaged in research and teaching of graduate and postgraduate students of Physiology for more than three decades. Besides his original contributions, he has been engaged in collaborative research work not only with national institutions but also with international research institutions such as Baker Medical Research Institute, Victoria, Australia; School of Medicine, University of Miami, USA and Institute of Experimental Anesthesiology, University of Dusseldorf, Dusseldorf, Germany. He spent a year as a visiting professor at School of Medicine, East Carolina University, Greenville, NC, USA. He is the recipient of several prestigious fellowships, which include: Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Fellowship, Germany and national Academy of Medical Sciences, India. He has published more than seventy research papers and written five reviews in reputed International Journals, has contributed chapters in several books and edited a book entitles 'Peripheral Elements of Nervous System'.
