Based in Dehradun, Shankar Gopalakrishnan is affiliated to Chetna Andolan, a mass organisation based in Uttarakhand. He has been working with organisations fighting for human rights and social justice for the last two decades. He has also written extensively on development, workers’ rights, contemporary history, natural resources, the environment and other issues.
