ABOUT THE AUTHOR Surojit Sen Gupta

Dr. Surojit Sen Gupta is M.A. (Sociology), B.Ed., L.L.B., Ph.D., from North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong. He has contributed a number of research papers in seminar and journals. His interests lie in Urban Sociology, Sociology of Communication and Environmental Sociology. Currently Dr. Sen Gupta is teaching I the department of Sociology, St. Edmun’d College in Shillong. He is also associated with the IGNOU, Shillong Regional Centre as an Academic Counsellor.
