Throughout the World the Vedic Culture, its origin, nature, developmental processes and continuity have drawn the attention of Oriental and Oxidental scholars. From the very beginning of its inception the Vedic Culture has been represently India’s religious and spiritual ethos sacraments, cultural identity and other uniqueness of its other social institutions which cannot be separated from each other because of its deep attachment with Purusarthacatustaya and Varnasrama Dharma. Highlighting these developments and achievements the School of Studies in Ancient Indian History, Archaeology and Culture, Vikram University, Ujjain (M.P.) had organized a national seminar on Vedic Culture and its continuity. The proceedings of the seminar are being printed in this volume which contains 14 English and 37 Hindi research papers in two separate volumes. The present volume will be helpful to the readers, researchers and scholars of Vedic traditions.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Sita Ram Dube

Dr. Sita Ram Dubey (b. 1-9-1956) have obtained his B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. ICHR’s (New Delhi) Post Doctoral fellowship awarded on ‘An Archaeological Study of Buddhist Centres of North India with special reference to the development of Buddhist order’. Specialization: (i) Society and Religion (with special reference to the early Buddhist religion and society), (ii) palaeography, (iii) Epigraphy and (iv) Numismatics. Published Books: (i) Bauddhasangha ka Prarambhika Vikasa (Hindi), (ii) Bauddhayugeen Bharata (Edited) Seminar Proceedings, (iii) Contemporary Historiography: Methodology and trends (Edited Seminar Proceedings). Archaeological explorations of Bilaspur, Rajanandgaon, Raipur and Durg Districts of Chhatisgarha and Neemuch and Mandsaur District of M.P. Participated and presented papers in National and International Seminars, Delivered lectures as a resource person to the participants of Refresher Courses. Lectures in Allahabad Uiniversity, under visiting fellow Professor scheme. Seminar Organised on ‘Bauddha Yugeen Bharat’ Contemporary Historiography: Methodology and trends’, ‘Methodology of Epigraphical Studies and History-writing. Study on UGCs Minor Research Project on ‘Kalchuri abhilekhon Ka Samskritika Addhyayana’ and ‘Prachina Bharata Ki Maudrika Vikas Yatra Ka Aitihasika Addhyayana. Involved in decipherment and historical study of deciphered contents of newly found unpublished inscription and seal sealings.
