Prevalence of parasitic diseases is very common in domestic and wild animals. They cause ill health, production loss and even death in food animals, resulting in huge economic loss to the farming community. This can be curtailed only through early diagnosis and treatment of affected animals. Although the affected animals show clinical manifestations, the diagnosis and differential diagnosis is always difficult due to lack of expertise and resource for reference. Since early and correct diagnosis is considered as corner stone for eradication of any disease, we authors felt a comprehensive guide encompassing clinical signs with illustrations and diagnostic techniques is needed, thus will enable the field veterinarians and students to diagnose the case accurately. Hence, the book entitled Veterinary Clinical and Diagnostic Parasitology has been produced, in which the parasitic diseases that frequently occur in domestic, pet and wild animals are included.

In this book, each disease is discussed with brief history of the case, clinical signs, illustrations, questions, answers and suggestions for control. Besides, various parasitological techniques employed for diagnosis, information about anti-parasitic drugs and normal physiological values of domestic and wild animals are also included. As number of arthropods act as pathogen and vectors for many diseases, they are also discussed separately with control measures.
