ABOUT THE AUTHOR Apoorvaa Pandit

Dr. Apoorvaa Pandit is a Ph.D. in Anthropology. After post-graduation in 1992, she worked for her doctoral programme under the able guidance of Prof. R.K. Mutatkar, University of Pune. She is a young researcher and has worked in various Social Science Research Projects in the University as well as Government and Non-Government Organisations. She also has an experience of teaching a few papers in Health Sciences at postgraduate level. Her research papers have been published in reputed journals. The present volume consists of her doctoral work, which has been acclaimed as a good piece of research in cultural Anthropology. in this book, an attempt is made to bring forth the traditional technological system of the tribals and the integration of tribal culture and technology.
