ABOUT THE AUTHOR Amitabh Singh

Amitabh Singh has done his higher education from University of Delhi and Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. A Ph.D from the Centre for Russian, Central Asian and East European Studies, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi has contributed to several edited books and in journals of national and international repute and has presented papers in international seminars and conferences in Asia and Europe. Dr. Singh has taught in L.N. Mithila University, Darbhanga and Magadh University, Bodh-Gaya as Assistant Professor. On Lien from Magadh University, Bodh-Gaya he is presently working with the Russian and Central Asian Area study Programme at the School of International Stdies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Yasmin D'Souza

Yasmin D'Souza is the Registrar of a professional training college. Born in India, she studied at Sophia College in mumbai. She sailed with her husband for a number of years and lived in Iran for 5 years before settling in London. She is one of the founding members of the Aloysian Group. This organization sponsors the education of Indian students from very low-income families.
