A book on women’s writing across the boundaries of nation/class/caste, this collection seeks to read women as women cutting across all theories of feminism. Quite in keeping with Denise Riley’s handling of the problematic of being known as a woman the essays in this collection comment on women’s writing beyond all caveats. Connoisseurs of literature researchers in the field of Indian literatures post colonial literatures, gender and sexuality studies and women’s writing will find it useful.
