Women and human right promises to be the most comprehensive and important book available on the subject of women’s human rights worldwide. This book covers the directions the movement for women’s human rights is taking and will take in the coming decades and the concomitant transformation of prevailing notions of rights and issues. The international community committed to a wide range of practical interventions to advance women’s sexual, social, political and economic rights. Despite these accomplishments, we find ourselves at an ever more difficult juncture in the struggle to fully realize women’s rights as human rights.
