The process of political mobilization was introduced by adopting universal adult franchise, competitive party politics, periodic elections and parliamentary system. A natural consequence followed that there has been tremendous pressure of political mobilization and politicization. The cultural pattern of Indian Society is such that social progress among women can be promoted effectively through the media of personal relationship among them. In this boo, an attempt has been made to unveil the relationship between the political mobilization of rural women and its impact on social justice with particular reference to their participation in Panchayati Raj Institutions. It has been sought to assess the role of socio-economic background of rural women to the extent of their political mobilization.
