ABOUT THE AUTHOR Jyotirmay Mandal

Dr. Jyotirmay Mandal is an ardent Ambedkrite from Namasudra community and has been associated with many social organizations of dalit community. He writes articles and reports on socio-political and religious matters and on plight of SC/ST and Bengali refugees especially to highlight the Brahminical atrocities, which are frequently published in several newspapers and journals. He acquired Master Degree in English literature and Master Degree in Law (securing first class first positioin) from Barkatullah University, Bhopal. His literary works already published are (1) Bahir Banger udbastu Samasya O Samadhan (Bengali); (2) Delit Emancipators Harichand Thakur and Guruchand Thakur. Two more books on the Dalit movement of Bengal are likely to be ready for publication within a few months.
