ABOUT THE AUTHOR D Nagayya

Professor D. Nagayya is currently a Consultant on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) at Guntur (Andhra Pradesh). He served the National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (NI-MSME), Yousufguda, Hyderabad from 1963 to 1996 in various capacities in the faculty of industrial development. He served the Rural Electrification Corporation (REC), New Delhi as Joint Director (Research and Evaluation). He obtained M.A. (Economics) from Univesity of Madras, Chennai in 1960, and was awarded Ph.D. degree by University of Rajasthan, Jaipur in 1986. He has to his credit a number of published research papers in reputed national and international refereed journals.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR S Shahina Begum

Dr. (Mrs.) S. Shahina Begum is currently with the Sri Padmavathi Women's Degree and Post-graduate College, Tirupati. She obtained her M.Com. and Ph.D. degrees from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. Her doctoral research abstract on entrepreneurship, with focus on women and small and medium enterprises, was published in GITAM, Journal of Management of GITAM Institute of Management, GITAM University, Visakhapatnam. She has participated and presented papers at various national seminars/conferences. She has also published a few articles in journals of repute.
