The present work Women in the Novels of R.K. Narayan, in its six chapters, attempts to comprehensively assess and bring into sharp focus Narayan’s, concept of and attitude towards woman in all her aspects. The topic is quite interesting and nowhere has it been treated so exhaustively and objectively in one single volume as in this thought provoking monograph. The treatment of the subject fully reflects the author’s scholarship.
