The book is a step-by-step guide for those suffering from any kind of back pain. Along with the easy to read text the book has a good mix of visuals depicting the yoga asanas which can be incorporated in ones daily lifestyle.

Back pain, today, is one of the largest growing health problems people face and one of the major causes is our lifestyle, habits and posture. This book sheds light on the importance of good posture and how small changes in one lifestyle can help them counter this problem. Besides the easy-to-follow pointers, the highlight of the book is the 19 yoga asanas recommended by yoga guru Dr Surakshit Goswami. Not only has he given a step by step guide as to how to perform the asanas but has pictorially depicted each asana from the first step to the last.

The interesting part of the book is that the author explains the physiology of the back and causes of aches and pains in layman terms, thus, allowing those who aren’t familiar with medical terms to understand their body better. The book also gives a round up of some common back ailments, its diagnosis and treatments available.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Surakshit Goswami

With his roots in the spiritual town of Kankhal, Haridwar, Yoga Guru Dr. Surakshit Goswami has been spreading the nectar of yoga and spiritualism across India for quite some time now. He aims to make every person healthy and happy by shielding them from various ailments, be they physical or mental. Engaged in Yoga-Sadhana for the last three decades, Surakshit Goswami has earned several degrees in the field. These include a Diploma in Yoga-Vidya, Vidyalankar (B.A.), M.A (gold medalist) and a Ph.D degree in yoga, all from Gurukul kangri University, Haridwar’s famous center of Vedic Studies and Spiritualism. He also taught for a few years there. Having moved on from teaching to being associated with the Times Group as it Advisor, Surakshit Goswami has, over the last few years, published over seven hundred articles on yoga and spirituality in Navbharat Times, The Times of India, Maharashtra Times and sandhya Times, Many of his special programmes on yoga have been telecast on various TV channels in India and abroad. In addition, many have benefited from dozens of yoga-Sadhna and health camps organized by him all over the country. He looks forward to evolve better yogic ways for making life healthy and happy.
