The Book discusses comprehensively the theories of communication media and shows how the process of mediaization influences positively or negatively the life style of youth in particular and changes the norms, values and role structures in society in general. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Sushila Jain

Dr. Sushila Jain is Associate Professor and former Head of Sociology at the university of Rajashtan. She has occupied senior academic and adminstrative positions in the university. She is the convenor of Board of Studies in Sociology and has been on the Committee of Cources in Anthropology. She has been the member of the academic Advisory Committee of the Academic staff college and Center for Women Studies. At present she is the coordinator of the UGC's Special Assistance Programme in Sociology. She has compeleted two short term research projects of the UGC and supervised many PhD. Students. She has published articles in reputed journals and in books on Modernization, Social change, Gender issues, Old age, Tribal Bhils in Rajasthan and is the author of the book on Muslims and Modernization. She has delivered Lectures and organised Refresher courses in sociology and Natinal seminars. She has attended many national as well as International seminars, including World congress of Sociology.
