Lexicon on Geography of Development attaches core significance on study of spatial differentiation of land domain operated through flux and flow of scale division of labour and capital respectively. This triad of land, people and economy involves space-time dimensions, the geo-historic specifities of which itself brings an aggregate production function and the latter being forward-looking imagines betterment which when takes place becomes a reality over an area in terms of spatial development. It is this spatial reality at any point of time which yields spatial transitivity in geography’s scales of spatial differentiation: local, regional and international. This book has been about the “development†in the context of underdevelopment of land, economy and society of countries of the South as compared to the capitalist economy of compared to the capitalist economy of countries of the North. This framework gives an impetus to the author to work on a new strand to development, as the author aims to stretch in geography into geography and political economy – all knit together nicely to which the author has called geographical historiography.
