Chris Cusack is Associate professor in the Department of geography at Keene State College, where he teaches urban geography, land use planning, and geographic information systems (GIS). His research interests concentrate on urban sustainability in the developing world and comparative regional development.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR George Pomeroy

George Pomeroy is Associate professor of geography-earth science and Director of the center for land Use at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. His research interests are in the area of urban geography, urban and regional planning, South Asia, and China.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Sudhir K. Thakur

Sudhir K. Thakur is Assistant Professor in the College of Business Administration, California State University Sacramento. He teaches land use regulation, real estate development, and geographical information systems (GIS) to undergraduate and graduate students. His research interests are in the areas of regional economic systems, technological change and regional development, location and land use, and spatial econometrics.
