ABOUT THE AUTHOR S. Parthasarathy

S. Parthasarathy is an officer of Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS) and is currently Financial Adivser and Chief Accounts Officer (FA & CAO) of Southern Railway. He graduated in Electrical Engineering from Madras University and joined the Railways in 1970. He has worked in various capacities in Indian Railways. Some of these are as Divisional/Senior Accounts Officer in Solapurs, Vijayawada, Secunderabad and Kota, Electronic Data Processing Manager in Chittaranjan; Professor/Railway Staff College in Vadodara; Divisional Railway Manager in Tinsukia; FA & CAO on Western Railway & Central Railway in Mumbai and FA & CAO, ICF in Chennai. He has also served outside the Railways on deputation as Internal Financial Adviser & Head Accounts Division of BARC and as Member, Finance of KVIC, both in Mumbai. Shri Parthasarathy has traveled widely in India as well as Europe where he had gone on training a number of times. Shri Parthasarathy is a self-confessed addict of Carnatic music, Cryptic Crosswords and Computers.
