In the context of his concept of how life happens, Ramesh answers the question: ‘what is it that distinguishes a sage from an ordinary person?’ His answer’ ‘A sage enjoys the shanti (peace) of Nirvana while living his life in the samsara of dukkha (misery).’ In the conversations Ramesh opens the way to freedom from bondage to the conceptual universe.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Ramesh S. Balsekar

Ramesh S. Balsekarr, an awakened sage, discusses the philosophy of Advaita with an inspired clarity. Speaking and writing in English, he has authored over twenty books and has spoken with seekers daily from his Mumbai home for the last two decades, offering unique insight into the basic premise of this philosophy, that all there is is Consciousness. Serving as a translator for Nisargadatta Maharaj, his Guru, and being a devotee of Ramana Maharshi, he brings the teachings of both to bear in this translation and interpretation of the 13th century classic, Amritanubhava (Experience of Immortality), by the Maharashtran saint, Jnaneshwar.
