Study of Ayurveda is eternal. One can try to understand Ayurveda in one’s life. It seems very difficult. Hence it is beneficial to study Ayurveda everyday, every life. In this book salient features about various aspects of food are considered as described in Ayurvedic Treaties and recent research references are considered for benefit of interested persons.Another unique finding of Ayurveda is that quality of mind as affected very greatly by nature of food you eat. Satva, Raja and Tama are the three qualities of mind and of the food as well. Food of satvika quality will boost up satvik nature of mind. Same is the case with Rajasik and Tamasik natures of food. Persons eating vegetarian diet in natural forms like fruits, milk, honey etc are generally of satvik I e gentle nature. People eating non-vegetarian diet are of Rajasik nature i e of aggressive and arrogant nature. While people eating unhygienic, contaminated, non-nutricious, ill-preserved food and having addiction like alcohol, opium are of Tamasik nature ie they are ignorant and wayward.
